The Housing Authority of the City of La Cygne was established in 1977 to provide affordable subsidized housing to the residents of La Cygne. Loans from USDA FMHA provided funds to construct La Harper Heights Apartments.

Housing Authority Meetings
Board meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 9 am at the La Harper Heights Community Center. Financial reports, maintenance repair logs and monthly bills are presented by the Property Director.
Board Members develop and maintain the annual budget, review and update policy and procedures, and monitor investments

The Housing Authority Board operates under established by-laws. The board is responsible for hiring a Property Director to oversee the daily operations of the La Harper Heights facility. The Property Director provides standard operation guidelines for the board to review and update as needed.
