UTILITY BILLING

Deposits of $200.00 for water and $200.00 for gas are required of new residential customers. Interest is paid to you on the deposits by crediting earned interest to your account in January of each year. Interest rates are set annually by the Kansas Corporation Commission.

If accounts are up to date and in good standing, the deposits are refunded to property owners after two years. Renters will receive their deposit back when they move and close out their account.

Delinquent Procedures:

After the 15th of each month the utility bill becomes delinquent and a 10% penalty is added to the past due notice, which is mailed to all customers with an outstanding balance on the 1st working day after the 15th.  This statement will include the date when shut off's will commence.

Disconnection of Utilities:

If you fail to pay your bill in full by the disconnect date, your utilities will be shut off and a reconnect fee of $50.00 will be added to your amount due at time of reconnect. If payment is not received by the last day of the month, services will be terminated. You will not receive any other notice prior to termination.
