Need help paying your home heating bills?
The Kansas Department for Children and Families provides funding for households struggling to pay the cost of services heating the home. Households may qualify for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP), which can help with a one-time payment towards heating costs. Applications for the program will be accepted from December 14, 2020 - March 31, 2021. You can get information about the program and/or an application by visiting the La Cygne City Hall, calling 1-800-432-0043, or going to www.lieap.dcf.ks.gov.

QUALIFYING HOUSEHOLDS MUST:
- Not exceed household income limits (see graph)
- Be personally responsible for the heating fuel costs payable either to the landlord, utility company, or fuel vendor
- Have made recent payments of at least $80 toward their utility or heating costs
