Community events don’t just happen — they’re built by dedicated volunteers who care about their town.
From early Park Boards that helped shape and maintain the La Cygne Community Park and Pool, to Fiesta Committees and Chamber-led festivals like SwanFest, one thing has always remained the same: it takes community members stepping up to make it all happen!
That’s exactly what we’re looking for! NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
The City of La Cygne is forming a “Blast in the Park Board” and we’re looking for volunteers to help plan, organize, and execute this growing community event.
This is a city-funded event, and the board will work alongside City liaisons — but the heart of it will be local volunteers bringing ideas, energy, and pride into the process.
We’re looking for individuals who:
- Are in good standing within the community
- Demonstrate strong moral and ethical character
- Want to give back and be part of something meaningful
If you’ve ever enjoyed a local event and thought, “I’d love to be part of that,” or "Man, if they had {THIS} that would be great!" this is your opportunity!
