April showers bring May flowers...and lots of grass. We are well into the mowing and weed eating season, and part of the fun of this season is watching out for obstacles in the yard as we trim. Have you thought about watching out for your water meters?
Part of La Cygne's recent water improvement project included the installation of new electronic water meters, which are shown below. These meters can be damaged or destroyed by mower blades, and any cost for replacement of parts or the machine as a whole is the responsibility of the property owner. So, please be careful when you’re mowing and weed eating!
Call the La Cygne City Hall at 913-757-2144 if you think you've damaged your water meter so it can be replaced in a timely manner.
