City of La Cygne Utility Services

It has been an enduring 2-year journey to transition to our new financial software, Edmunds Gov Tech. We are excited to announce the program is fully installed and we have been working diligently to address any concerns which may have occurred during the transfer of data. At this time, we are prepared to introduce our customers to the new program and begin the process of setting our customers back up for electronic processing.

Below is a Utility Account Information Form. This form MUST be completed by all current utility customers and submitted by the end of June 2026. It is important that we have current and updated contact information for our customers, please provide your mailing address, phone number and email address in order to insure we are able to contact you regarding your account.

The purpose of purchasing a new software program was to provide improved options for electronic access to your utility account(s) and for electronic payment. Edmunds Gov Tech provides a few different options for on-line payment for your utility account

  1. Auto-Pay: Customer(s) create an on-line account to view their bill and establish the type of source for payment, either credit card or electronic check. The billed amount will be automatically pulled each month on a date specified by the city. Fees will be assessed at time of payment
  2. Scheduled Payment: Customer(s) create an on-line account to view their bill. The customer will be able to schedule when to make their payment each month. Payments can be made by either credit card or electronic check. Fees will be assessed at the time of payment.
  3. Quick Access (one-time) Payment: Customer(s) access the web portal and make a one-time payment. No access to the utility account. No storage of credit card or bank information.
  4. ACH Bank Direct Payment: Customer(s) must complete a Bank Authorization Form to allow the city to set-up their utility account for direct payment(s) from their bank account. There are no fees associated with this payment options.
  5. Cash or Check Payment: Customer(s) can mail or make payments at the La Cygne City Hall, 206 N. Commercial Street, La Cygne, KS 66040.
  6. Drop Box: Customer(s) can drop payments in the depository box located to the right of the door.

We have faced an assortment of trials and tribulations during this period of inconvenience and we appreciate your patience.

**IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE A COMPLETED UTILITY ACCOUNT INFORMATION FORM BY JUNE 30, 2026 YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE SET FOR PAPER BILL PROCESSING.
